Last but not least: we are excited to announce our third and final sub-theme of the conference: ‘Gone and Forgotten? Frozen conflicts in the Caucasus!’. With an eye to the Balkans and Caucasus, this session will explore the dynamics behind frozen conflicts such as their general characteristics as this is an often overlooked subject within IR. This session will be guided by two experts: Françoise Companjen and Natalia Mirimanova.
Françoise Companjen
Françoise is a cultural anthropologist with a focus on the Caucasus and Georgia in particular and manager of Caucasus Interconnect.

Natalia Mirimanova
Natalia is a conflict resolution scholar-practitioner with over 25 years of work experience (e.g. UN, OSCE) in Russia, South Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
