The field of negotiation is constantly evolving, and occurs at all levels of human interaction and range from interactions among friends to events of worldwide importance, and as such requires new ways of teaching.  On the 30th of April, the JASON Institute is collaborating with the Young Diplomat to deliver a penta-negotiation simulation on the theme of transatlantic security issues. This session will be led by the founder and president of The Young Diplomat: Hans van den Berg.

During this workshop, the participants will be introduced to negotiation and dispute resolution tools, techniques and strategies, all of which will allow the participants to stimulate their cognitive thinking and develop their negotiation skills . While prior knowledge about the specificity of the themes and issues is not required, the participants will be confronted with complex issues in regards to the several defining challenges of NATO – from Russia’s efforts to undermine and threaten the alliance and its partners to China’s increased global role, the threat posed by climate change, and crises in Europe’s neighbourhood.

Interested in joining on the 30th of April from 13:00 until 16:00 at Leiden University – Wijnhaven building, Campus The Hague at room 3.16. Then make sure to register via the form below!
