The construction and defeat of IS’ territory have had enormous symbolic and practical consequences on a local, regional and global level. The caliphate materialized the threat posed by IS. Now after its collapse, it is hard to envision the future of the organization: Are they going underground? Will they merge? Will they shift their focus to different regions? Do they have the capacity to execute offensive cyber-attacks?
On March 26th, the JASON institutes for peace and security invites a number of speakers to address the future of IS. Among other topics, experts will discuss the cyber capacity of IS and possible means to combat them. Besides, organizational aspects and capabilities of the organization will be addressed: internal organizational developments, the impact of leadership decapitation and ideological trends.
Join us to learn more about the possible pathways of IS, ask all your questions to our speakers and share your own perspectives over a drink after. The first drinks are on us!
